Does Vibe Bar send usage data to a server?
No. Vibe Bar has no account, telemetry pipeline, or hosted analytics backend. It computes quota, cost, and activity state locally and writes derived data under ~/.vibebar/.
Does it modify my CLI files?
No. Supported CLI credential and session files are read-only inputs.
Which providers are supported?
Core surfaces cover ChatGPT/Codex, Claude Code, Gemini plus AntiGravity, and Grok. The Misc page supports 20 coding and token-plan integrations. See Provider overview.
Can I track more than one account?
Yes. Clone a Misc provider row to create independent credentials, cache, settings, visibility, and naming for another account. Some cookie providers also allow multiple cookie slots inside one instance; those quotas are averaged, so use separate clones when you want separate cards.
Which source should I choose?
Start with Auto. It selects the supported local, OAuth, or Web routes in the provider's preferred order. Choose a fixed source only when you need to diagnose one route or intentionally prevent fallback. Gemini live quota is Web-only; AntiGravity currently uses the local language-server probe.
Are the cost totals exact?
They are estimates derived from local token or usage records and model pricing. They are useful for understanding patterns, but they are not a provider invoice.
Can I clear local cost history?
Yes. Use Settings → Cost Data to clear derived cost data. Privacy Mode also clears derived cost data and keeps cost history off disk while enabled.
Why is the app not sandboxed?
Browser-cookie import and the local AntiGravity language-server probe require capabilities blocked by the macOS App Sandbox. Vibe Bar remains open source and applies a strict least-access policy. See Privacy and local data.
What happens when a provider refresh fails?
The error remains visible and Vibe Bar preserves the last known good snapshot. It does not label stale data as a successful refresh.
Why does a forecast say Learning?
The forecast needs enough fresh observations and preferably comparable completed reset cycles. A new install, a new quota bucket, or recently cleared history will stay on Learning until coverage improves.
What are the system requirements?
Vibe Bar requires macOS 26 or newer. Building requires Xcode 26 and Swift 6.2 or newer. The current downloadable ZIP is for Apple silicon.
What license does Vibe Bar use?
Vibe Bar is licensed under GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only.
